As COVID-19 vaccines are authorized and then recommended for use in the United States, it will be important to understand what is known about each vaccine.

Based on the latest scientific data available, it appears that some individuals who are immunocompromised do not build the same level of immunity after vaccination when compared to those who are not immunocompromised.
Therefore, the CDC recommends that moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals receive a 3rd (additional) dose to complete their primary series. This applies only to those who have received the mRNA vaccines, Pfizer BioNTech and Moderna.
* Speak with your healthcare provider about your medical conditions to see if you should be completing a 3-dose primary series.
